Headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, with offices in Leduc, Alberta and Lloydminster, Alberta, Get Benefits is an insurance and group benefits consulting firm specializing in the design, analysis and on-going consulting of Group Benefits and Retirement plans for small to medium sized businesses located throughout Western Canada.
Get Benefits serves more than 200 Group Benefits and Retirement clients and, in partnership with our sister company, Financial Services Group, manages over 500 million in pension, group retirement, and personal investment assets.
Since its inception in 1996, Get Benefits and its founder, Sid Kinasewich, have earned a reputation in the industry for superior product knowledge, effective plan management and high levels of client satisfaction.

OUR HISTORY
2021 - Adopted “Get Benefits” as its official tradename (to build off of KBC’s web domain www.GetBenefits.ca.)
2021 - Merger with Financial Services Group, an Edmonton area financial services firm with a large practice focusing on Financial Planning, Investment Management, and Individual Insurance. Partners now include Michael MacPhail and Scott Kwasnecha.
2018 - Moved office to current location 112-160 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park
2005 - Secured www.GetBenefits.ca domain
2000 - First employee hired
1999 - Incorporated as Kinasewich Insurance Services Ltd (later changed to Kinasewich Benefits Consulting Ltd.) with first office located at 937 Fir Street, Sherwood Park (subsequent office moves include 4606A 101 St Edmonton and 1220 - 70 Ave NW Edmonton)
1996 - Sid left Manulife to consult/broker group insurance independently
1985 - Sid moved to Manulife Financial working with Group Life and Health as well as Group Retirement Services
1976 - Sid Kinasewich begins selling Group Insurance with Bluecross (promoted to Marketing Manager in 1980)
